Read Chapters 15 AND 16 in A Long Walk to Water

Finish reading and annotating social studies reading ("Let's Turn North") AND read the last few pages of Chapter Fourteen in A Long Walk to Water

Re-write/make improvements to last night's response based upon what we discussed in class today.  

Writing Prompt: How does Salva respond to hardship?  Use evidence from the text.  

 

Response should be at least 5 sentences and include a focus statement, three pieces of evidence, and a closing statement. 

Native American Tribe Quiz TOMORROW 10/4.  Review your tribe graphic organizer and be prepared to answer multiple choice questions based on each region. There will also be short response questions, as we have discussed in class.

Read "The Plains" and "Pacific Northwest" and ADD to tables in your Native American History packer

Personal Response to A Long Walk to Water - you may include your feelings about the  book so far with details from the story, any connections you are making (text-world, text-text, text-self) - should be more than 5 sentences
