Your Aeneid Notebook:
Over the next week we are going to (1) finish our readings of the Aeneid (Monday) and (2) for Wednesday and Thursday we are going to work on transferring all of your discussion questions into a single document that you will submit for me to grade as an assessment for Quarter 4. By then I will have gone through your submitted discussion question answers and returned them with comments or instructions to re-do some answers. (Kind Suggestion: watch the zoom recordings we complete the questions with the correct answers in class!)
This notebook should do a few things:
(1) Organize the discussion questions AND Answers (must have both!) by chronological order of books (we read Book 1, 2, 4, and 6)
(2) Include an introduction paragraph on what you learned and found interesting about the Aeneid as an epic poem. This introduction paragraph should also include Who wrote the Aeneid, when it was written, and what an epic poem is.
(3) Include paintings or photos or artistic representations of some of the scenes we read form the Aeneid with commentary on your impressions of the what this artwork
This is DUE not later than Sunday May 17th at 11:59pm.

Salvete Discipuli et Discipulae,
Hodie, spectabimus Latina praepositiones in Anglicis verbis. (Today, we will look at Latin prepositions in English words.)
Hoc est Labor (This is the assignment): (1) Review your vocabulary you made on quilt for 10 minutes as a warm up. (2) using the 10 Latin prepositions you have learned in Unit 10, think of 10 English words that use these Latin prepositions as PREFIXES. Nota Bene, (Note well), prefixes are fixed before the "main" part of a word. You can think of this on your own or use an online English dictionary. Exempli gratia:
sub --> subway (find a different example for "sub," now).
Valete,
Ms. Maddie
