Students - please use this weekend wisely

Good afternoon!  
 
There are several assignments that have been posted to google classroom (Discovery Ed and ReadWorks) that have yet to be completed. 
 
Be advised more lessons have been prepared and are on the way for the foreseeable future.  None of us want to see our students fall behind on their work.

Just a reminder that there have been assignments posted to our Google classroom daily - with the exception of St. Patrick's Day.

6th Graders having trouble with quiz -

Ladies and gentlemen - as of 4:15 pm quizzes are still scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Progress Reports - 3/18

Please be advised progress reports will be prepared and distributed to students next week.  
 
Several students have yet to complete their ReadWorks articles on Google Classroom.  Specifically, those assigned on March 2.  

6th Graders - an assessment this Friday

Depending how our lessons in Ancient Greece (lengthy) go over the course of the next several days we are either having our 3rd quiz (most likely) for the quarter.   
 
Our exam on Ancient Greece will be on Thursday 3/19.    

6th Graders - Quiz is on Friday.

Both sets of notes have been posted on Google Classroom.  
 
Quiz will be multiple choice questions.  

6th Graders - HW on Google classroom

Please complete the 2nd slide with the images/definitions for Athens vs. Sparta.
 
Please complete the last three slides where you are filling in the blanks with the notes from a slideshow embedded in the activity.  In class, we went over where to access the slideshow from which to take the notes from.  
 
Thank you for making this lesson enjoyable through your enthusiasm!  
 
Quiz on notes we will take in class over the next two days slated for Friday BUT stay tuned for an update just in case I have to postpone to next week.  

6th Grade - 4 articles assigned via Google Docs

These are 4 articles regarding the content we are covering and are about to cover next week.  Each article has approximately 5 multiple choice questions to answer.  
 
If we are going from easiest to more challenging - I would read/complete them in this order:  Greek Geo & City States; Democracy in Athens; Ancient Spartan Society, Greco-Persian War.  The questions do not necessarily get harder but the vocabulary, sentence structure, length certainly vary.  
 
100 points.  
 
Due Monday 3/2/2020.  
 
3rd Quarter is well underway - we have a nice chunk of about 14 days before we need to scale back somewhat and take the NYS ELA exam.  Let's build and maintain momentum.  
 
Those who were unable to finish yesterday's classwork are asked to do do over the weekend as well.  100 points.  
 
UPDATE:  3-1 Was able to log in and see student progress - have returned a few of the articles so students can redo or revise.  

6th Grade - Quiz Friday 2/28

Quiz will be multiple choice and based on notes taken this week.  
 
Notes have been posted on Google Classroom.  

Ash Wednesday Mass - 2/26

5th Grade will lead the 10 AM Mass at Blessed Sacrament!  
 
Permission slips are due.  
 
 

6th Grade - Greek Mythology and Trojan War

Assignment found in Google classroom.  
 
Google form to be completed after students perform brief research.  Students strongly encouraged to take notes on a Google Doc THEN cut and paste their information into the form when they are ready to submit.  
 
Any responses recorded to the google form will not be saved unless the assignment is completed and turned in.  Trust me - it was not fun discovering this last fall.  
 
Due Friday morning - 11am.
