  1. HUMANITIES HISTORICAL DIARY WORK

What you’ll write about...


  • What is happening in your life, your family, your town, city, or country? 
  • How you feel about it (scared, angry, excited, etc) and why? 
  • What are you going to do to cope with the good and the bad in your life? 
  • What do you want to become in that lifetime? How will history impact your choices? 
  • Include THREE historical events in any of your entries that took place during this time period. 
  • Write those entries in a way that would include these historical events. 
  • Make sure to date each entry with the day, month, and year of your choice.

What your diary will look like…


  • Diary should be handwritten on neat lined paper of any kind
  • Handwriting should be average sized. One page is one page like you would write in class. . 
  • Your best handwriting should be used for this project.
  • You may make your handwriting look old fashioned if it is legible. 
  • Give your diary a front and back cover. Make the diary look old.
  • Include two photos that would fit with your diary’s entries

(printed on paper, actual photos, most ideas work)

Monday’s Chapter: 11


Directions: Visit Mr. Munsey’s page for your class on the School of the Blessed Sacrament Website. Here you will find the attached pdfs and these directions once again to complete your work. You will find a pdf that lists comprehension questions for chapters 1 through 30 of To Kill a Mockingbird. We have already completed questions for chapters 1 through 10. This week we will complete the questions for chapters 11 through 13. Each question is required to be answered in 3 to 4 sentences. Additionally, for each of the assigned chapters you will choose 2 questions to answer in your Extended Short Response format. You will complete this on Google Docs or in a hard copy form. This is your choice. 


Assessment Criteria: 

  • Complete questions for chapters 11, 12, and 13 in the attached pdf.
  • Answer questions in 3 to 4 COMPLETE sentences.
  • Choose 2 questions from each chapter to answer in your ESR format.
