Head of School Welcome

Welcome!

The School of the Blessed Sacrament is a truly special place, and I am privileged to lead this community as we prepare for our school's next chapter as a two-campus, one-school model. In September 2019 we will open The School of the Blessed Sacrament Lower School (preK 3 - 3rd grade) at our W 70th Street location, and The School of the Blessed Sacrament Upper School (4th grade - 8th grade) at 456 W 52nd Street.

The strong educational traditions that have defined SBS will continue in both buildings next year. From preK 3 to 8th grade, West 52nd Street to West 70th Street, our students are challenged to grow each and every day. All of our community members are challenged to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and strong people of faith. Blessed Sacrament continually strives to form saints and scholars.

During this building year, in preparation for our September 2019 opening, we have a unique chance to reimagine Catholic education on the west side of Manhattan. Each of our programs will have new, innovative learning spaces, providing children with developmentally-specific opportunities to explore, develop, and grow. Learn more about our next chapter and the capital plans for both our upper and lower schools here!

Regardless of location, the power of our school lies in the children and families we serve.  During this year we will continue to create opportunities for our students to be challenged academically, personally and spiritually.  It is a privilege for the faculty and I to partner with each of you as we support the growth and development of each of your children.

There is a renewed energy this school year as we embark on a new adventure, and I hope that you will consider using that energy to give back to SBS.  Whether it is in sharing your time, talent, or treasure, we so appreciate your generosity.

Know that I - along with Mr. Fargione, Head of Lower School, Ms. Gonzalez, Head of Upper School - and the whole faculty and staff of SBS, are keeping you and your family in our prayers. Please keep SBS in yours as well!

Ms. Caroline Sliney
