The School of the Blessed Sacrament is a truly special place, and I am privileged to lead this community through another great year. We have seen tremendous growth at SBS. From the strong foundation our Early Childhood Program provides, through our rigorous Middle School Program that allows students to attend the top high schools in New York City, our students are challenged to grow each and every day.
Our building's renovations in summer 2016, with the addition of the Rosalie MacWilliam Memorial Library, helped ensure that our students have vibrant learning spaces throughout our building. All of our community members are challenged to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and strong people of faith - Blessed Sacrament continually strives to form saints and scholars.
The excitement, joy and laughter that fills the halls brings so much life to Blessed Sacrament and truly proven that the power of our school lies in the children and families we serve. During this year we will continue to create opportunities for our students to be challenged academically, personally and spiritually. It is a privilege for the faculty and I to partner with each of you as we support the growth and development of each of your children.
Nowhere is this partnership more evident than in the Parent Association, where parents play an active role in developing our great school community. There is a renewed energy this school year, and I hope that you will consider using that energy to give back to SBS. Whether it is in sharing your time or talent, we so appreciate your generosity. I look forward to seeing you all at the PA events. They promise to be wonderful ways to enjoy and celebrate our great school.
Please keep SBS in your prayers this year, and know that your and your family are in ours as well.
Ms. Caroline Sliney
