We hope you enjoyed the weekend and it feels like spring has finally arrived!
Calendar Reminder
There will be a half day $1 dress down on May 3rd. PreK 3 and PreK 4 will be dismissed at 11:20am and kindergarten through 8th grade will be dismissed at 11:30am.
NYS Exams (Grades 3 - 8)
This year, all state exams will take place on the computer as the state moves towards computer based testing for state exams. Please see the dates below when all testing will take place for students in grades 3 - 8.
Math test - April 30th and May 1st
SBS Chess Club
Congratulations to our Chess Club students who competed in their first competition this weekend! We are so proud to announce that SBS came in first place in both the rookie and reserve sections, bringing home two trophies. A remarkable accomplishment for our students!
If you are interested in having your child join the SBS Chess Club and participate in tournaments going forward, please email SBS parent, Tabea Schroeder-Oetjen. An additional FAQ sheet is attached.
Kids in the Game Summer Camp
Please see the attached flyer to a Summer Camp which is being run by Kids in the Game out of our 70th Street campus.
Immunizations
Please send us updated health forms and immunizations after your children get their annual healthcare check ups throughout the year.
In the attached flyer from the NYC DOH, you will find the outlined immunization requirements for the school year. It is essential that all students have the required immunizations. The annual student health form is also attached. Please email updated immunizations or health forms directly to [email protected]. Include your child’s full name and grade in the subject line. Please send separate emails for each child.
