Blessed Sacrament Families,

Happy May Day! This month, our character focus is honesty. We (students, teachers, and parents alike!) will continue to working on being open and honest as we head into the spring months at SBS.

We are pleased to report that the scheduled work to repair issues caused by the leak in rooms 404 and 504 was successfully completed this weekend. Although there are still some cosmetic repairs, we are thankful for the partnership and leadership of the church in getting the building repaired safely! We appreciate your understanding during this process.

Over the summer, thanks to the generous gifts made at this year's auction, we will build our new technology lab adjacent to the Rosalie MacWilliam Memorial Library. See below for an article in the New York Times on coding and computer science. We are looking forward to developing our computer science and computer skills programs in our new learning space next year!

Please see below for some important upcoming dates. I hope to see many of you on Friday night for our first ever "Dancing with the SBS Stars" at 5pm in the Church Hall. Performers include Mr. Justin and Ms. Maris, two 7th and 8th grade students, and even a few parents! Fr. Duffell, Ms. Filauro and I look forward to judging the competition.

Have a great week!

Ms. Sliney
