Dear Blessed Sacrament Families,

After a week of excitement during Catholic Schools Week, I hope you took some time to rest and recharge this weekend! It was a special time at SBS celebrating our school and our community. Annual events like the art show, ring ceremony, and fun dress up days brought light to a chilly week, and new traditions like the teacher/student handball game and Grandparents Day brought new games and welcomed special friends into our SBS family. I hope you enjoyed the week as much as we did!

The past few weeks have also been filled with good news for the class of 2019. Catholic High School acceptances include: Marymount, Notre Dame, St. Vincent Ferrer, Dominican, St. Jean, Fordham Prep, Xavier, and Lasalle! We are so proud of our 8th grade students, and I know you will join me in praying for them as they make their decisions for high school.

As always, please reach out if you need anything. My door is always open!

Sincerely,

Ms. Sliney

Lord:
In the midst of Winter, when the days are cold and wind can pierce remind us of the warmth of your love.
In the midst of Winter, when days are short, dawn comes late, and dusk arrives early remind us that in the darkness your light still shines.
In the midst of Winter, when the flowers of spring still lie hidden in the earth, when leaves are off the trees, and the world can seem bleak
remind us that Easter is but a short time away.
And when in our lives we feel as if we are experiencing a season of winter, reach out to us with the power of your resurrection so that we may feel the warmth of your love and see your light that alone can take away the darkness of our soul.
