- Please review the homework for the week with your child. Several children are still asking questions such as , "What do we have for homework?" "Do we have math homework in our books?". These questions can be answered by looking at the homework log for the week. I also post one in the classroom for availability.
- All homework is due the following day. Reading will be checked daily and returned. Students must submit it by Friday with all check marks, made by me, for full credit.
- Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, November 20th. If you do not receive a report card I will be unable to meet with you. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
- Report Card conferences will take place on Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd. Please be reminded that these conferences are only 15 minutes long. If you require additional time, we can make an appointment to meet at a later time.

- Students should review multiplication tables regularly. They continue to receive quizzes and many still do not know their 2's or 5's. These are the basics. Please review consistently with your child.

- Although homework has not been assigned for the long weekend, students should review their multiplication tables (2,3,5,10) and read diligently to build fluency, expression, vocabulary, and comprehension. Please contact me for specific strategies to apply for your child.

- Students should read consistently for growth. They must read chapter books with few or no pictures. Graphic novels such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Dork Diaries should not be read unless they have completed a fiction or non fiction chapter book.

- Friday, October 4th- KID-A-THON. Please be in school by 8am. Dismissal at 11:30. NO backpacks, gym uniform. NO AFTERCARE.
- Encourage children to practice their multiplication. This website is great to use. https://www.mathplayground.
com/grade_3_games.html - Please remind your child that school and class rules apply to all classes and activities including physical education, Spanish, recess, art, library, lunch, science lab, music etc.
- Spanish homework will be assigned on occasion. Professora Casiano reviews all the work with them during class prior to assigning related homework. They also have a week to complete the work and see her for any clarity.

- Thank you for encouraging your children to speak for themselves regarding homework. Please continue to do so.
- Please remind your child to use the tissues placed throughout the classroom as needed, they don't have to ask for them. A few students have a tendency to continue to use their fingers.
- Thank you for teaching your child to tie his/her shoes. Many have been attempting and helping others as well.
- If possible, please encourage your child to read aloud at home.
- Picture day is on Monday, September 30th. Details to follow.

Thank you for your presence on Back to School Night. It was a wonderful outcome and I look forward to working with each of you to help your children grow and succeed.

- Packet of signature forms are due by Tuesday, September 17th.
- Class fee of $100.00 is due this week. Please speak to me if you have any concerns.
- Please help your child learn to tie her/his shoes. (Youtube tutorials are great if they refuse to accept your help.)
- If you contact me via email during the school day, please call the office as well to ensure your child and I have received the message.

- Encourage your child to speak to me directly if he/ she did not complete homework.

Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome to the class page. This site will be utilized to post homework for the week and reminders. Please note that there may be changes in homework sometimes. I ask that you trust your child and/or email me for confirmation of any such changes.
Reminders:
- This week students MUST be in complete uniform. No sneakers or colorful sweaters are permitted. Physical Education with be held on Wednesdays and Fridays every week, gym uniform is required on these days.
- School begins at 8am in the Church Hall where we gather for assembly. If your child is late, he or she must go to the office for a late pass and then arrive to class on her/ his own.
- Parents are not permitted upstairs without approval from the office.
- Please return any papers sent home requiring signature.
- There is a class fee of $100.00. Please pay in cash or check to me, Angie Christoforatos.
- Homework will be posted weekly and you will receive a reminder. Please check for homework and reminders by Sunday evening.
- When submitting money, please place it in an envelope with your child’s name and the reason for the money.
- If there is a nanny, tutor, or other family or friend you wish to have access to the class site, he/she is welcome to subscribe to the class page.
- Back to School will take place on Wednesday, September 11that 6pm. I look forward to seeing you there. If you are unable to attend, it is okay. I will eventually post the information.
