Green Meadow's Farm Trip

As you know, this coming Friday 5/27 is the field trip to Green Meadow's Farm. The students are all very excited! Below are a few reminders for the trip:

  • Students should arrive at regular arrival time in the morning.  They should wear their blue gym uniform t-shirt, their choice of bottoms, and sneakers. I believe the weather will be nice Friday, so please apply sunscreen as needed! Please wear comfortable clothes and remember we might get a little messy (dirt, hay)!
  • No backpacks or folders are needed on Friday - hand in homework either Thursday or following Monday.
  • We can board the bus at 9:30am, so I ask that all mandatory chaperones be outside at 9:30 sharp!
  • Students should bring a snack for the morning to eat in the classroom before we leave, and a lunch to eat once we are at the farm.
  • Dismissal will be outside the school building with the chaperone once we arrive back at around 1/1:30.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!

Field Trip Friday - Puppet Show

This Friday (April 29th) is the Puppet Show field trip. Chaperones please meet outside the school building main entrance at 10am.  Please have your child dress in gym uniform and sneakers for the trip.  Children do not need to bring their backpacks to school on Friday - only pack a snack and lunch in a brown paper/plastic bag which can be thrown away during the field trip.

If the weather is nice on Friday, we will stop at the park on the way home from the field trip for lunch (will have the chaperones with us).  Weather permitting - if it's rainy/cold we will come back to school to eat lunch.  I will confirm this later in the week.

A note that there is no school this Monday, May 2nd.

Thanks!

Homework week of 3/21

There will be no homework packet going home this short week.
This week, we are reviewing what we worked on this past month - words ending in "ff" "ll" "ss" and "zz."  We will also be reviewing numbers 19 and 20 (counting using ten frames, base ten blocks, tally marks, etc.).

Field Trip Permission Slip

Please continue to return the permission slip and $24 for the Green Meadow's Farm Field Trip!

Homework

A change to the homework plan this week: instead of "ch" and "th" beginning words, students will work on words ending in "ff."
