Reminder that there is a brief quiz on multi-digit division tomorrow. I posted an optional division  practice sheet two weeks ago on the class site. Students will have the option to use Partial Quotients or Long Division on the quiz. Either strategy is fine.

Winter Work Packet

Please note, that SOME of the content in this packet we have not yet covered in class yet. This is a test prep packet. These questions have been drawn from previous state exams. For the content that we have not yet covered, students are just asked to try their best, use their understanding of number sense and learned testing strategies to try to figure out the answers.

Assignment

Dear families,

Today I distributed a "Metric Conversion Maze" worksheet to students for homework, however, I printed the wrong maze worksheet- (I guess I have a case of the "Mondays" even though it's Tuesday). Though they are practically identical, THIS worksheet has some decimals, which we have not gotten to, yet. At the end of today's lesson, I gave students a crash course in figuring the decimal questions out using a "trick" moving the decimal place. With that said, students are ONLY responsible for completing the questions of the maze without decimals. IF, they would like to TRY the challenge of finishing the maze and completing the necessary questions involving decimals, they are free to do so (for EXTRA CREDIT). However, they must show ALL WORK inside of the box. I have attached the worksheet, which was distributed to students today. Again, students are only responsible for completing questions involving whole number, BASE TEN numerals.
