Fundraising

Fundraising forms an important part of the contribution of the SBS Parents Association. Over the years our fundraising efforts have contributed to major additions, renovations and activities to enrich the SBS experience. The PA hosts two major fundraisers each year, one in the Fall and the other in the Spring.

Kid-A-Thon: Our fitness-focused Fall FUNdraiser

KID-A-THON is the Parents Association's annual fun-filled, kid-powered, fall FUNdraiser aimed at securing donations to support activities, equipment and infrastructure at both campuses. Families are encouraged to share the campaign link with family, friends and community members, during a two-week donation drive. The school community celebrates the end of the fundraising campaign at the Kid-A-Thon event - a morning of super fun activities for SBS children at Riverside Park to energize their minds, bodies, and kick off the new school year! Children engage in a variety of activities tailored to different grade levels to ensure everyone has a great time. In the past three years, Kid-A-Thon has raised around $40,000 annually.

SBS Annual Spring Gala and Auction

The SBS Annual Spring Gala and Auction is our biggest fundraising event of the year. The fundraiser consists of an online auction, which runs for one week, along with an in-person, adults-only gala and live auction.

Past Spring Galas have raised as much as $200,000 to benefit our vibrant school community, contributing to technology labs, a renovated library space, rooftop garden, science lab, and state of the art safety and security systems.

Uniform and Bake Sales

Each year, the PA hosts three (3) sales of gently used uniforms to benefit families and raise additional funds. In addition, two bake sales are hosted to promote our major fundraisers.

Parents Association Fee

The PA Fee was established as a centralized source of funds for PA-sponsored activities, teacher appreciation, and teacher development. Learn more about the Parents Association Fee and how you can make your contribution.
