Weekly Planner Jan 20

Here is the weekly planner for this week. Let me know if you have any questions.
 
REMINDERS:
Please bring in a sock that matches the color of the student's animal. The sock should be one color. Ms. Gamache adds all the details to the animal in school with the kids. The sock should be longer than an ankle sock so that it covers their forearm. Please have these socks returned to me by Friday, January 31.
 
Monday 1/20 - NO SCHOOL - MLK DAY
Thursday 1/23 - Arch Diocese Religion Midterm (Students have review sheet to study already)
Friday 1/24 - Outragehiss Field Trip (in school)

3rd Grade CSW

Hi All,
 
Catholic Schools week is coming up the week of January 27th. On January 29th each grade gets to visit the next grade in order to get a better idea of what next year will look like. 3rd grade will be going to the upper campus on 52nd street to visit 4th grade. The school has provided buses for transportation for us on that day. Because we are taking buses, a permission slip will be sent home today and should be returned to me by Friday, January 17. I have also posted the permission slip here.

Monday, January 6th- Mass of the Feast of the Epiphany. Students must be in school uniform. 
Friday, January 10th- half day of school. 11:30 dismissal. $1 Dress down
Friday, January 10th- Outragehiss permission slips and $10 due.

Back to School Jan 2

Hi All,
 
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have fun plans for New Years Eve. 
Here are some reminders for our return to school Thursday, January 2nd. 
 
  • Thursday, January 2, 2020 - Back to school
  • No Homework this week (Thursday Jan 2 - Friday Jan 3)
  • Please bring in any New Years hats, noisemakers, glasses etc. for a fun little New Years celebration for the kids in our classroom. This will take place in the classroom on Thursday, January 2nd. 
  • Monday January 6th - Holiday Research project due 
  • Thursday, January 9th - Touring Thursday - I encourage you to visit the upper school on 52nd Street between 9th ave and 10 ave to learn more about the Upper School Campus

Hi All,
 
Here is the weekly planner for this week as well as a few reminders for the week and the following week. 
 
Monday 12/9: Mass to celebrate the immaculate conception 10 AM
Friday 12/13: Festive Dress Up, Class Christmas Party in the classroom (NO PARENTS) Pizza will be provided for lunch, then Breakfast with Santa 
 
Friday 12/20: Christmas Concert, 3rd-grade colors to wear are black, white, silver or gold. No jeans, sneakers, or heeled shoes.

- The daily reading log must be handed in DAILY for the students to get credit. I give reminders of what they need to hand in to the HW bin before the students walk into the class to unpack.
- Friday 12/6 - $10 dress down

1. Students will go to www.readworks.org/student

2. Students enter class code KAJKHL

3. Students password 1234

DO NOT CHANGE PASSWORD

4. Students will find their name on the roster and click it

5. There will be an article for them to read and questions to answer afterwards.

6. Students can flip back and forth between questions and article for help.

7. Students must click submit after they are done answering the questions in order for the assignment to be complete.

8. Please let your child do these assignments on their own.
