Fundraising

Fundraising forms an important part of the contribution of the SBS Parents Association. Over the years our fundraising efforts have contributed to major additions, renovations and activities to enrich the SBS experience. Each year the PA organizes two major fundraisers—one in the fall and one in the spring—along with several smaller initiatives. Every dollar raised directly benefits our students, faculty, and school community.

Kid-A-Thon: Our fitness-focused Fall FUNdraiser

Kid-A-Thon is the PA’s annual, kid-powered fall FUNdraiser, designed to get students moving while raising funds for programs, equipment, and campus improvements. For two weeks, families share the campaign link with friends, relatives, and neighbors to collect donations. We wrap up the drive with the Kid-A-Thon celebration—a morning at Riverside Park full of age-appropriate activities to energize our children’s bodies and minds and kick off the school year with spirit. This year’s Kid-A-Thon set a new record, raising over $55,000 for SBS!

SBS Annual Spring Gala and Auction

Our Spring Gala & Auction is the biggest fundraising event of the year. This adults-only evening combines an online auction with a live auction at an in-person gala featuring food, music, and community. Past galas have raised as much as $230,000 in a single year, funding improvements like technology labs, a renovated library, a rooftop garden, an upgraded science lab, and state-of-the-art safety systems.

Uniform and Bake Sales

The PA also hosts three gently used uniform sales each year to support families and generate additional funds, plus two bake sales to promote our major fundraisers.

Parents Association Fee

The PA Fee was created as a centralized source of support for PA-sponsored activities, teacher appreciation initiatives, and professional development. Learn more about the PA Fee and how your contribution sustains these efforts.
