Students - please use this weekend wisely

Good afternoon!  
 
There are several assignments that have been posted to google classroom (Discovery Ed and ReadWorks) that have yet to be completed. 
 
Be advised more lessons have been prepared and are on the way for the foreseeable future.  None of us want to see our students fall behind on their work.

I plan on using the book throughout the time we are physically away from one another.  In terms of answering questions - it will be through a google doc or google form so please do not worry about printing something out for me.    
 
Hope everyone is well!  My love to all of you and your families.  Have as great a weekend as is possible given the circumstances!

Religion - Lenten Reflection Journal - please continue

While I may be assigning work over the next week in regards to Religion via google classroom, the one thing students should continue to update daily would be their Lenten journals.  The due date remains the same.  3/31

Continue journaling your Lenten Reflections - Google Classroom.  I will be checking in o the reflections tomorrow evening.  My reflection is updated and on our classroom as a sample/model.  Several students have fallen behind and are reminded the journalling should be a part of their daily routine/HW if you will.  

Lenten Reflection Journal

Students will be completing a reflection journal regarding the three Lenten practices of prayer, fasting, almsgiving.  Students are encouraged to consider performing the works of mercy as a way through which to practice almsgiving.  
 
It is on our Google Classroom - and will be graded as a 100 point project/summative assessment.  
 
A rubric was provided via Google Classroom as well.
 
My living journal is up as well as a model.  Updated as well.  
 
There is the expectation that 25 entries will be made - most of these will need to be written outside of class.      

Ash Wednesday Mass - 2/26

5th Grade will lead the 10 AM Mass at Blessed Sacrament!  
 
Permission slips are due.  
 
 

Religion assessments

Quiz on Penance/Reconciliation - tomorrow 2/4.  Format - fill-in with word bank.
 
Exam on Penance/Reconciliation - Friday 2/7 
 
Update - Google Classroom assignment graded and returned.  
There is also a study guide posted to our Google Classroom as well.  

A permission slip for 1/28 is going home today

Hello everyone! 
 
Please sign and return the permission slip for our journey to the Blessed Sacrament Theater (70th Street).  We will be enjoying a performance of Shakespeare tomorrow morning!  
 
Additionally, a permission slip for our 1/31 trip to Blessed Sacrament Church should already have gone home.  Several students have yet to return the slip.    

Class 5-2 please complete wb pages 152-153

That would include the reflection question.  10 questions total - HW grade.

Review sheets have been given, copied into notebooks, and also posted within google classroom for each of my classes.  
 
Morning session - 8:15-10:15 am.
